Description   Excellent for adding crawling and climbing surfaces for fruit flies and their larva in your cultures.  We believe that it dramatically improves the yields in our FF cultures.  Click on the "More Photos" button below the picture to see it in one of our cultures.  It might be hard to see, but the black lumps in the center of the culture are flys gathered on the excellsior.  By providing them with a medium that does not break down and disappear, like coffee filters often do when used, we feel that more flys survive to be used.   Features One bag is enough to use in approximately 50 fruit fly cultures.
